Twenty years ago, the unimaginable happened: a rock band won the Eurovision Song Contest.

But the winners, the Finnish hard rock band Lordi, were far from your average rock band.

They shocked the world with their extreme horror aesthetic, but the catchiness of their song “Hard Rock Hallelujah” was undeniable.

It stormed the charts throughout Europe, reaching the Top 5 in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Ireland.Even 20 years on, the song remains unique among all the contest winners, and fans still talk about it every year as one of the best of all time.

Lordi are still going strong, touring the world with their spectacular live show and releasing new albums almost every year, while still finding new ways to keep their sound and aesthetic vibrant.

The band is a household name in the metal scene and is loved by many Eurovision fans, a unique combination. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, Hard Rock Hallelujah is available as a limited edition of 666 copies and will have an unique UV print on the B-side.
