Julie Dawson is lead singer/songwriter of Galway-formed band NewDad. Whilst on hiatus in between albums, she connected with electronic producer Jack Hamill (aka, Space Dimension Controller). The resulting album project, “Bottom Of The Pool”, takes a sonic detour from Julie’s work with NewDad, allowing her to express her song writing and vocals in a new and otherworldly context built by Jack.

The album’s narrative captures this essence, landing as a deep and immersive record that transcends the mundane.
The album artwork is a piece created by Katherine Bradford, an American artist based in New York City, known for her figurative paintings of swimmers that are abstract and metaphorical.
